Wonder Series + Prologue Masks Series

Processed with VSCO with a6 preset

I used to wonder how Korean girls always look pretty ; at all time – even without the help of makeup. And eventually, I learned that they are passionate about taking care of their well being – be it internally or externally. The products produced are well researched and often comes with a great benefit, not only to the Koreans but also to the rest of the skincare enthusiast around the world. Just as such, I came across a brand that is enthusiastic and creative to construct a series of products that will be a great help in our daily skincare routine – HARUHARU .

HaruHaru – An introductory.

A subsidiary of one of Korea’s prominent fermentation pundits – OK Bio Lab ; Haru Haru was recently introduced in Malaysia with Wonder Skincare Series and HaruHaru Prologue mask series – one of the many products that has been assembled to fit any lifestyle – mainly focusing most common issues women encounter such as dull skin, aging and dry skin. HaruHaru implements state-of-the-art technology techniques in producing their skincare products which includes breaking down the molecules of the ingredients to ensure the nutrients are focused in being absorbed into the cells besides helping to keep the product’s moistness and smoothness texture.

HaruHaru skincare has vowed to provide the most effective skincare product hence the products used are one of the best, including Maqui Berry from the Chilean Alpine which has been as one of the Top 5 super food, along with fermented honey and green tea extracts.

Haru Haru Wonder Series.

HaruHaru Wonder products are mainly focused for the skincare enthusiast from early twenties to mid thirties – where the skin is rapidly going through changes on daily basis. The pretty part of this series that the bigger version of it comes in as a “take away” coffee cup design, while the smaller ones come in a tube that fits in easy in any bag – for daily use, after gym and even, while travelling.

Below are the products and their functions :

Wonder Maqui Berry Antioxidant Cream and Mask : Infused with extract of fermented Maqui Berry for anti-aging and skin regeneration. The packaging comes in a purple tube / cup  and this cream has a very strong green tea fragrance to it – quite similar to the ones you get in spas.

Wonder Honey Green Reparative Cream and Mask : This cream comes in a maroon tube/ cup and smells exactly like Wonder Maqui Berry Antioxidant Cream and Mask. One of the many ingredients in this cream is Schizandra Chinensis Fruit Extract which works perfectly as anti-inflammatory, anti aging and with the bonus effect of regenerating whilst hydrating the skin.

Wonder Honey Green Aqua Bomb Cream and Mask –  As the name suggests, the main function of this cream is to hydrate the skin thoroughly, which I personally believe is what most of women need – skin hydration because drinking plenty of water alone might not be the best solution , at times. One of the main ingredient in this cream that comes in a turquoise tube and cup is Moso Bamboo which effective for intense moisturizing and revitalizing the skin.

Wonder Honey Green Brilliant Cream and Mask –  This is an environmental friendly cream that comes in a white tube / cup , how out of the norm is that ! This cream contains green tea and honey extract that helps to fight skin problem that comes along with age – wrinkle. Whilst it minimizes wrinkle, the cream also helps to brighten skin by clearing dull pigmented layer and provide intense hydration in the process.

HaruHaru Prologue Masks Series

This set of masks is targeted for the young , fun and vibrant crowd where it is packed in the form of prologues hence the name. The main ingredient is Maqui Berry and it is about Haru – the skin superhero that tackles the main culprits that results in bad skin ; Dry skin, wrinkles, dull skin tone etc.

HaruHaru Prologue Maqui Berry Lifting Masks – the function of this mask is to act as antioxidant that helps to resolve wrinkle issue while firming the skin, at the same time.

HaruHaru Prologue Maqui Berry Brightening Mask –  this is also functions almost similar to tackle wrinkle issues but at the same time minimizes fine lines while brightening the skin for ensure the skin tone is even.

HaruHaru Prologue Maqui Berry Soothing Mask –  This mask is specially curated for them with sensitive skin with the same functionality, which is to reduce wrinkle but more subtle on the skin.

HaruHaru Prologue Maqui Berry Moisture Mask – this is the best mask to use for the with dry skin, flaky and wrinkled. In fact, this mask is one stop solution for all the skin issues – where it promotes moisture on the skin. Apart of that, it also helps to renew the skin to maintain a younger and fresher look.

image2 (13)image1 (23)

HaruHaru seems to be a complete package product that is able to cater the needs of almost every woman in Malaysia – where it can be used as a set or can be applied individually but either way the effect is visible. One of the reason for this is the ingredients that is being used in the product – and the method of fermentation that helps the skin to absorb the products efficiently. Apart of that, HaruHaru also practices patented biotechnological delivery approach which is the natural liposome that allows the product to reach the cell for better effect. Apart of the common ingredients used like green tea and honey, HaruHaru went a notch to include superfood like Maqui Berry into the product, where this berry is said to be the powerful component as antioxidants.  Back to basic, the packaging of the Wonder Series is definitely creative and convenient, where it comes in two sizes 90g – on the go take away coffee cup while the 30g comes in tubes so that it can be carried easily, anywhere.

You can purchase the Wonder Series and the Prologues Masks Series at the following locations :

LaF Water Bomb Ampoule

To begin with, I am really sluggish when it come to skin care routines but I love exploring products that really suits my skin. My skin care routine is rather simple – cleanser, toner & moisturizer, sometimes I add on scrub into the routine. Recently, when I got my hands on LaF Water Bomb Ampoule, I was quite stunned so I started to research more on this and came across some interesting instances. More on it, below.

Lost and Found , Seoul (Korea)

A brief introduction to the brand – the catchy name Lost and Found (LaF) has a literal meaning to it. It basically is the abbreviation for LOST AND FOUND, in the sense of lost being the problem and found is the solution. The main aim of this brand is to provide innovative solutions to skin problems to anyone who needs it. This brand has products for almost every skin issue and if you check out these products, you will find tea tree as the common denominator. The price is quite easy on your pocket – ranging between RM 47.10 to RM 56.50, and can be easily found in Guardian ( with some discount as cherry on the cake – if you are lucky ).

LaF Water Bomb Ampoule.

My first impression is that this is a very simplistic formula. The packaging – super minimal – with a dramatic definition to it.  However, I was not quite happy that the instruction, ingredients and what not is in Korean. That can be a drawback if you don’t know Korean, I mean who would want to get one if you don’t even know what it is made off, right? But no worries, I have listed the ingredients below so that you are aware of what you are applying to your skin. As for the product , it comes in a very easy to operate 30ml bottle , but again except for the name , everything else in Korean. I like that the label did not cover the whole bottle, as you will be able to see the color of ampoule that is transparent. The smell is very mild – almost relaxing I would say, and I never like product with strong smell , so plus point here. Coming to the product – it is liquid yet a little oily ( you will realize when you are applying , which I think due the fact that Glycerin is one of the main products. Visually it looks like droplets of water, and easy to be applied onto the skin.

Application & Review

After a little more research, I decided to wash my face and then to use this ampoule right after using a toner. I pumped out about 4 droplets and applied it onto my face – and looking at the texture, I had a feeling that it is going to be sticky but to my surprise it is not sticky all ! It almost felt like I was applying water mixed with a subtle amount of oil – and it glides really well on my skin. For the first few minutes, it stayed onto my skin before being absorbed into the skin, and it did irritate my skin for abit but soon after it felt soft and cool. This was basically my last routine, and when I got up the next day – I can still feel the softness and the result was quite instant – my skin looked fresh like I had scrubbed it for awhile. This difference was also realized by my colleagues and that pretty much made me a happy person !

What do I think ?

This product retails at RM 47.07, and I wouldn’t think twice to get this again once I’ve completely utilized the bottle that I have now. It comes in a generous amount of 30ml give the function of the product that is almost immediately. This is a product that suits almost any skin out there because like it or not, hydrating is a major part of our skin care routine – and hydrated skin is a healthy skin. Not only that the price is reasonable but the product is indeed effective, if you’d like to give a try, you can proceed to purchase it from here : https://guardian.com.my/index.php/laf-tea-tree-bha-skin-solutions-water-bomb-ampoule-30ml.html .

Depression is not a drama!

On a serious note…

I know for sure that I am getting uncomfortable with the ideologies by a group people, assuming mental health is as easy as ABC. And also it’s heart breaking to see how many of them thinks that depression, anxiety or any other kind of mental health is controllable. Yes, I strongly agree to this but then it only applies if the condition is brought to attention and handled in the right manner – preferably by certified professionals. In most cases, you can help yourself but with a strong support system. The point here is to acknowledge it.

The sad part is, people do know that something is wrong with them and it is actually taking a toll on their daily routine. They do understand that they have symptoms but you know what is the saddest part? They are afraid to ASK FOR HELP. They are afraid to approach someone because they don’t want to be judged or mocked. Do I need to explain more on this? We have a form that allows the person to stay “anonymous” to get help! But WHY?

Mental health is not a taboo and shouldn’t be one or else why do we have Psychiatrists or Psychologists to help them in need? Mental health is legit . Depression is legit. Anxiety is legit. You need help, and you deserve to get help. You need support and you will get it. Your pain is legit, and your suffering should be acknowledged. No one deserves to make fun of you.

And if you think depression is drama and it is a choice that people can choose to feel or NOT to feel well I have a challenge for you. If you ever met in an accident, and broke your leg ; don’t ask for help. Don’t cry in pain. Don’t even bother going to the doctor. In fact, don’t even put on a drama, you can walk because it is just a matter of choice 😉

50Gram x Swanicoco

I am not a straight up make person but I am always on the hunt to find the best lipstick in the town. Recently, I was introduced to couple of Korean product and one of it is by the renowned brand in Korea ; Swanicoco. Before I begin talking about the product itself, let me have the honor to talk a little more about Swanicoco.

Swanicoco – the hottest brand in Korea.

Initially, Swanicoco started off by producing naturally fermented soaps, where they were determined to produce the best outcome by precisely selecting the best medicinal herbs before getting into the next process such as boiling and fermentation.  As we speak about this brand, they are currently ranked the top natural cosmetic brand in Korea – mainly an impact from their core value where they believe only products that are 100% made from natural ingredients able to bring the best results. This is strongly proved by the existence of the word “Natural” on their logo ( refer to the image below ).

The word “Natural” is a symbol of being a representative natural cosmetics company.

If you are curious about the name “Swanicoco” , worry not because I have been there too ! How did they came across this unique name and what does is really meant? Well, “Swanicoco” means the pursuit of the elegance of a swan while “Coco” means Coconut which again emphasizes their love for natural product, but “Coco” also means cute in French – how creative is that? Pretty much, they are a brand that not only creative but also, puts in great work to create products that is effective for both men and women.

50Gram is an online florist shop that is quite known to Malaysians. They offer various flower bouquet for various occasions, be it for Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day , Graduation, well you name it, they have it !  There aren’t only focusing but also alternative options like Plush toys, merchandise even juice – now that is innovative.  Adding into the bucket, 50Gram is the only company that is currently selling Show The Velvet Lipstick – Juliet Red and the product recently went live on their site on 18 September 2018.

Show The Velvet Lipstick – Juliet Red

Show The Velvet Lipstick, black edition is basically a limited edition lipstick produced by the brand. Comes in three different shade but I am lucky enough to get my hands on the shade “Juliet Red”( the other two is called “Pink Blossom” & “Shine Orange”.  The main attraction of this lipstick is the packaging, where it comes in a sexy black box with a tint of red and a chalk illustration of the lipstick. Being a person who adores anything minimalistic, the packaging is definitely worth saving – and the lipstick comes in a tube of the same color combination minus the illustration. The color shade is really pretty -I love how the red color looks perfect, almost like the lipsticks I’d draw in my notebook, the cartoon lipsticks or the drawings we usually see around.

image1 (16)

As for the shape of the lipstick, I love the slendering toward the tip of it where it is quite useful while applying on the lip. This allows the lipstick to be apply smoothly on the lip, reaching the curved corners without leaving traces of it. The lipstick surprisingly smells good – it has very floral pleasant fragrance to it and it kind of got me wanting to smell it over and over again without applying it on my lips. I literally moved around my office getting my colleagues to smell the lipstick which they liked as well.  So BINGO

image3 (6)

IngredientsOctyldodecanol, Isononyl Isononanoate, Silica, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Isoeicosane, Ozokerite, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Microcrystalline Wax, Paraffin, Phenyl Trimethicone, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Kaolin, Tocopheryl Acetate, Caprylyl Glycol, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-Di-T-Butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate, Hexylene Glycol, Fragrance, Phenoxyethanol, Ci 15850, Ci 45410, Ci 15985, Ci 19140, Ci 15850.

Swatches and Application

I tried applying the lipstick and turned out that the color is quite bright for my brown skin tone. Although the lipstick has a pretty shade to look at, the color didn’t turn out to be the same ; it was more orange-ish red rather then just red. It did provide me an immediate “alive” look given the fact that I am not fond of wearing makeup to work, I alternatively use this lipstick slightly ( more like a tint ) on my lips and cheeks. So here’s the thing, I do not own blusher(s) because for some reason, I just cannot find the right shade for my skin tone so I end up lightly applying my red lipsticks onto my cheeks to give the “flushed” look, which worked quite well with Swanicoco’s  Show The Velvet Lipstick – Juliet Red .

However, for a better visual understanding, I have applied this lipstick on four different skin tones – Pale, yellow, light brown and caramel ! The results are as following :

As you can see the color is not that different from all the skin tone – you can still see the orange – red tone but how deep the red color does change with the skin tone – so this can be applied by any skin tone – but preferably lighter skin tone babes !

What do I think ?

I honestly find this product is good and is indeed a worthy investment however, I will not buy it again for the second time and this is only because I am not quite fond of the bright color this lipstick carries. However, I might give it a try for the other two shades , just in case it suits my skin tone. As for the price, well it is not pocket friendly, but the quality is good, so you can definitely invest a little if you are looking for a subtle lipstick.

This lipstick retail at RM 88.95 , and you can purchase it here : https://50gram.com.my/product/swnccstvljr/ . Swanicoco’s Show The Velvet Lipstick – Juliet Red is only available on 50Gram’s website and it is limited edition, which means it it will not be restocked again, so go and purchase it while stock lasts.

I hope this was informative enough and till next time *toodles*

✵ Primero Tatuaje ✵

They say there is a story behind every tattoo. Mine is simple. In fact – the most common one, in my personal opinion. Ribbon. Colorless. Seems childish, I know but the heart wants what it wants. Got my first tattoo 4 years ago, it was a long overdue plan and I didn’t want to push any longer so I decided to go with a ribbon. It was a random thought that jump into my mind – and I was like “Well, that’s it”. Once I got inked – people was quite curious, and started questioning, like “Why ribbon?”, “why colorless?”.

There were even weird questions – some even wondered if it was an inspiration from my favorite disney princess, Cinderella. At that point, it was super annoying and i often sigh about it, genuinely couldn’t find the essence to talk about my tattoo. It was less than 5 cm in size but was such a big concern for many. Eventually, I gave up and prepared a whole story in my head – LITERALLY. I knew exactly what to say – but honest, and it took quite a number of revisits to find why RIBBON was good enough to be my first tattoo.

My answer, like I’ve mentioned earlier, is as simple as my tattoo – my tattoo symbolizes the action of “giving love”. How does a ribbon can be a symbol of such action you may ask, but again tattoo stories with individual, it is a personal choice – something we want others to respect ; just like our personal space. This is the “thing” that was there in my head in the moment, and kept lingering around – it was almost difficult to take it out thus I took it a sign. I am someone who believes in love and kindness – people are capable of these and we should always spread positive vibes, than the negative ones.

And a colorless ribbon symbolizes the action has no boundaries – it is an oath to love each other without looking at one’s external but to love them with no borders – to spread kindness and love no matter where you are. It is also a symbol that love is not within human being only – it can be extended to our Mother Nature and everything we are blessed with in this universe and beyond. It is a reminder of what the fundamental of love really is to show kindness, genuine care and all the little things I do to make someone happy. It acts as the anchor to my values – holding me grounded to what I am passionate about and to always be as compassionate as I am – in spite of the circumstances.

Curiosity Gap – Anxiety

Experiencing some forms of anxiety, little pangs of apprehensions here and there occur on a daily basis is a normal thing, at least for most people.  Anxiety is not really the “death” word we assumed ; in fact, in some situation it can actually be helpful. For example,  you are super exhausted and you are not able to walk fast, so you drag your feet on the pavement. Out of sudden, you think you heard a noise from the back, this will raise the anxiety in you and you’ll forget how tired you are – completely energized to get away from that place. Basically, anxiety is also another way our body is alerting us to keep ourselves safe from possible “danger”.  It can also be a source of motivation during times like examination, preparing for competitions and completing an assignment that’s due – as feeling anxious about something can actually be the fuel to drive you to get it done.

If Anxiety is not harmful, why is it a disorder?

Anxiety on the scale of 1 to 5 is completely normal, but when it reaches level 6 and above, that is when it becomes unhealthy as it starts to disrupt a person’s normal life. In this level, a person with anxiety no longer feel anxious to the possible ACTUAL danger but they are very responsive to the situations they PERCEIVE as dangerous. This can be triggered by something as simple as getting on public transportation or meeting someone new.

Based on last year’s statistics, approximately 300 million people are suffering from Anxiety disorders – that means 1 out of 13 people are affected by these disorders. United States tops the chart with the highest number – 40 million adults! Despite of living in an era with state-of-the-art medical facilities, only 10 % are receiving proper treatment. The two main reasons of why this is happening because we are either living in denial or  just being plain ignorant. Sad isn’t ? But that is the truth and a reality to many of them out there.

Types, causes and symptoms of Anxiety disorders.

Anxiety disorders can be divided into 6 parts – the most common anxiety disorder is Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD).  This has been regarded as a chronic disorder due to the effect it has on the person who is suffering from it.  To begin, a person with GAD experiences an extreme, and long enduring anxiety and worriedness towards things that don’t really matter. The cause of this can only be determined by the person itself and it varies vastly , eg – it can be any kind of stress, emotional trauma, abusive substances like cocaine etc.

A sudden rush of intense terror or uneasiness is categorized as Panic disorder. The person suffering from this will feel physical symptoms such as shaking profusely, nausea, dizziness and difficulty to breath. In some cases, the person can feel really confused with everything around him / her. These attacks can be a brief one, the whole can happen and resolve within couple of minutes but in some cases it can last for hours.

One of the other most common anxiety disorder is Phobia ; bare in mind that this is slightly different from the rest as this occurs with a distinct reason. The fear that one has in this case is usually seemed to be petty matter but this will not be able to stop the person from feeling anxious. The reason for phobia varies as per individual as well – it could be insects, animal, situation or even building.  Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is an anxiety disorder that motivates one to do something on a continuous mode, despite it being unnecessary – it is more like compulsion. I am sure you’ve came across people who needs to wash their hands after touching everything or having the immense urge to keep everything organized – and not doing these will make them feel anxious.

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is an anxiety disorder that occurs after a traumatic experience ; sexual assaults, natural disasters, vehicle accidents etc. This is usually experienced by them who has came across situations that involves death or injury  – be it actual or threatened, which results the person to feel the intense moment of weakness, fear, horror or helplessness.  Flashbacks and experiencing symptoms that is close to the initial event can trigger anxiety – and chances of a behavioral change.  Separation anxiety is felt when the figure of attachment, or the place the person is attached to is drastically or gradually taken away.  This is a condition usually experienced by kids below the age of 18 – and kids are usually too clingy to their parents, refuse to leave home for school , refuse to sleep without the parents – etc.

The above mentioned types of anxiety is just tip of the iceberg and I will write about the treatments and the syndromes more detailed in my next blog post as Anxiety can be quite overwhelming, and I would like to find the easiest way to understand this disorder.

Curiosity Gap : Depression

Depression is not something that stays with you – it comes and it goes, but the scary thing is that the traces of it lingers within the mind of the depressed person. Most often, people confuse depression with someone who is in the state of gloominess all the time – and that is certainly a very generic term. I have personally known the happiest person, who seemed to have no problems, and quite content with her life, broke down badly to an extend of committing suicide ; she kept her depression as a secret and refused for a professional intervention because she was afraid of being judged. I am not surprised by her “fear” because that is actually the truth and is a reality in some part of the world.

Patients brutally tortured in the name of “treatment”, being dragged to meet voodoo doctors, and being called a “curse” are just some of the cases in the list, and this, for me, is nothing but an act of stupidity and purely inhumane. We in the mental health industry, know that this is indeed a tough battle because as serious as the topic is, there are many phonies who freely claim to “suffer” from these illnesses for the sake of attention. In addition to that, studies has shown that more women suffers from depression than men and it is said that 12% of the general population will experience depression in their lifetime. Hence coming to that, I have compiled causes, symptoms and cure or interventions, that I believe will bring more goodness than harm after all it’s better to be prepared than be sorry.

What really is the real reason behind depression?

Believe it or not, depression is known as the “cold” of mental health, because it is common but never to take it lightly. Since depression is defined as an intensely complexed disease that figuring out the cause of it seemed to be almost impossible, hence, the reason can be anything. Depression could be the end result of a traumatic past event, it could also be a genetic condition or even medications such as isotretinoin (used to treat acne) and corticosteroids can increase the level of depression. In addition to that, depression is not thoroughly caused by negative experiences but events such as marriage, new job and even pregnancy is able to trigger this condition. Like I have said above, there is no specific reason of WHY depression happens.

What are the symptoms or signs of depression you ask ?

Depression is not sadness. Feeling the blues is something we all feel every now and then, it should not be confused with depression.  When you are sad, you know you going to be okay when you continue to function and in no time, you are back up standing strong. But when you don’t get up after lingering in the “sadness” for a long time with waves of emotions hitting you, constant feeling of fatigue and physical changes happening gradually – this is the beginning signs of depression.  I do understand that nothing is impossible but trust me when I say that people in depression will not be able to collect themselves up, feel better and move on. The only way to really feel better is through treatment, and hours of intervention.

And how can you be sure that it is Depression?

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, also known as DSM-5 ( the new version representing the fourth edition since 2013) is used to identify the mental illnesses for both adult and children.

To know if someone is suffering from a severe depression, then there are few criterias that has to be met as per the DSM-5. This has been divided into five comprising of A,B,C,D & E. In criteria A, first and foremost sign is the person should be feeling unhappy mood or lost of interest, in many things for over 14 days in a row. On top of this, at least 5 of the symptoms below must be present for a period of at least two consecutive weeks. This is quite a complexed diagnosis that I will break down in another blog, for better understanding in the process.

What are the treatments available for Depression?

There are over 7 psychotherapy treatments that has been proved to be successful to cure depression but I am going to share 3 of the most sought after intervention which is also my personal selection.

Interpersonal therapy is basically a very short duration therapy, probably about 12-16, one hour per week sessions that focuses mainly on the relationships, so this includes improving patient’s skills like communication, resolving conflicts etc. This approach advises that improving relationship with people around can help in coping with depression.

Problem-solving therapy focuses on creating solutions to the problem. The session mainly looks at the problem and breaking it down, before offering multiple solutions for the patient to choose from – this approach provides the freedom to evaluate and make a decision based on it.

Supportive counseling this therapy is all about listening, so the psychotherapist listens to all that the patient has to share without being judgemental. Patient is free to talk about anything with the assurance of a genuine empathy and understanding received from the therapist.

Apart of the stated therapies, there are many other ways to cure this condition. One of it through medication, where patient is given antidepressants such as Tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs) which includes Elavil (amitriptyline), Tofranil (imipramine) and Pamelor (nortriptyline), that seems to work better based on individuals, however these medicines do come with side effects such as restlessness, drowsiness and sweating. I would definitely recommend psychotherapies because it is more personal, and humane compared to the rest.

How to cope with depression ?

I understand that having depression is never anyone’s cup of tea and I do know the struggle one goes through on a daily basis with this condition. So, I have researched for few tips and suggestions that I am keen to adapt and I believe this will be able to assist you throughout your journey.

Push Away Negative Thoughts – as a person who has been in depression for years, I do know how difficult it can be from creating negative thoughts in your mind. Curbing the thoughts from cultivating in your mind can be a huge help. You can start watching  funny videos on Youtube, reading self-help book and anything that actually will be able to turn you mood into the happier one, instantly.

Create a Happy toolbox – Here is the truth, I am not suggesting much because idea might not be efficient or effective for you hence you will need to create your own happy toolbox in order to make yourself feel better. You can start by listing down all the things that makes you happy then do it when you are feeling low. This will instantly pump up your mood.

Build a Support Network – it is very important for you to build close ties with few family and friends that you can trust, and count on during the hard times. Having someone to talk heart to heart with, makes a major different in your daily life.

In summary, depression is a serious condition but with the right amount of love and care, it can be treated along the time. I hope this will be an eye opening message to them who has a very little idea on this mental illness and that it will not be taken as a “daily joke”. I sincerely hope that people will not look at this as “attention seeking” illness but something that needs to be take care of with immense empathy and compassion.

Be Kind

Regardless of how much you try, you will eventually burn out from giving more than what you can. There is only to an extent that one can give and eventually, you will feel the strange void within you. And one day, you’ll wish that someone takes care of you like you do, with everyone else. Whispers the right words to mend your broken heart ; to fill spaces between your fragile fingers. To make you feel worth a million and happy from the bottom of your heart.   ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

You know what is bliss? Knowing that that “someone” is YOU. It is natural that as a giver all you want to do is give and give but to never take, so why don’t you satisfy your conscience by giving all that you got — to yourself? It’s okay to take some time off your busy schedule, to pay more attention to your needs. To detox from all the negativity and to connect with your spirituality.   ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

It’s not selfish to stay solitude from the hustle and bustle of the world if that gives you the utmost peace. You can do so much for yourself but all that you care is to provide the most for others ; isn’t the fact that you love yourself the least, quite heart breaking? It’s okay to be nice, but what is the meaning of it, if you fail to be kind to yourself?   ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I want you think back all the time, you’ve done silly mistakes and how did you react? You call yourself stupid, silly and all sorts of name, things that you’ll never say to another person but you’ve never hesitate to be cruel to yourself. Why? This is impartiality. This is inhumane. This act of “selflessness” will only bring destruction rather than transforming you into your best self. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Here’s a little exercise to sway you away from all the stress you’ve had today. I want you to close your eyes and slightly tilt your head down, and breath in through your nose for 5 counts and breath out from your stomach, for 4 counts. Repeat this – 3 times. Slowly place your hand on your forehead or heart and whisper the following words :

1. This is just a moment and it will pass.

2. I am stronger than what I think I am

3. I release myself from anger

4. In all situations, I will be kind to myself

5. I am doing good and I will do better

6. I am not perfect but imperfectly me.

Say all the positive words you’ll not hesitate to utter to someone, just to make them feel better — be the same person to your inner soul, treat yourself with kindness as much you would with anyone else. Remember, you cannot pour from an empty cup, so take care of yourself, first.

Book of Love

” Mom!!“, Alice heard her daughter, Lileth, calling out loud from the room. Alice got shocked and quickly rushed into Lileth’s room, to find her teenage daughter sitting on the bed, looking so frightened. ” What happened, my dear?” She asked Lileth as she stroked her daughter’s hair. “Mom, I had a horrendous dream. I saw dad, he did something with the ice-cream he bought for us, he poured something into the bucket; you ate it, and after sometime you cried in pain, blood came out of your nose and mouth before you collapsed to the ground ! And dad said, you died, Mum!! You died!,” Lileth cried in her mother’s arms. Alice got worried, but she remained calm,” Hey deary, it’s okay, it was just a bad dream. It doesn’t matter because it’s only for a moment, okay?”, Alice consoled her daughter but it wasn’t enough for Lileth. “Mom, promise me, you’ll never leave me”, Lileth said as she clasped her mother’s hands tight. “Lily, my love, I’m not going to leave you but now, I want you to go to bed and sleep well, dear”, she kissed Lileth’s forehead and tucked her into bed, singing Lileth’s favorite lullaby as she watched her beautiful daughter fall asleep. Something crossed her mind – the book! She remembered the thick book she gave Lileth on her 13th birthday, she couldn’t hold back her tears ; she took the book from the nightstand and place it under the blanket,“Lily, my beautiful daughter, as long as this book is here with you, nothing can ever tear us apart.” Alice smiled with her eyes misted over, before she vanished into the thin air, and Lileth got up from her sleep. She held the book firmly to her chest, as if she was afraid someone would snatch it away from her. She bit her bottom lip & her eyes welled up with tears,“I miss you, Mom”.
